Subject: starter oil burning

Question
Dead on with the starter i took it out and it was veryunder powered. Noticed my plug was drenced in oil one closet to drivers side dunno if its 1 or 4. Car burns some oil but it look like someone dipped it in a bucket of oil. from the electrode all the way to the top thread :( ideas vale cover gasket. Is there a real gasket for theses or just rtv and plug covers ?

Answer
Hey Ben

Yes they do have gaskets, and the cam cover gasket will leak oil into the plug hole if it has become brittle. Just goto your nearest saturn dealer and ask for a cam cover gasket, and then replace it, cleaning the cover real good, then tighten snuggly, don't over tighten ok......also, make sure you oil pan isn't leaking.

let me know what you find out ok

ERIC
