About BrisMel
Expertise
I will answer almost any Savage Garden question. I know informatin on the past and present backup band members, unreleased tracks, etc. The only ones I won`t answer are ones about their personal lives. It`s none of my business who they`re currently dating or what their sexual preferences are. Sorry folks.

Experience
I have been a fan of Savage Garden since I first heard I Want You in 1997. Since then I've scoured the net for information on anything I could get my hands on. I've seen a number of TV performances and interviews from all over the world and have read quite a few articles and transcripts (also from all over the world). I have been to 3 Savage Garden concerts (I got to meet Ben Carey, SG's former backup guitarist, at the one).

Answer
Hello Elizabeth,

Daniel put an ad in the paper for a singer and in '94, Darren was chosen to join Daniel's current band, Red Edge, a cover band. Shortly afterwards, they decided to cut away and start their own band. Their first album was released in '97. They only released two albums because they split up in 2001. There isn't any real reason besides they both had grown and wanted to go onto different things. Below is a list of their two albums, the songs on the albums, and b-sides (any songs recorded by Darren and/or Daniel during this time not a SG song isn't listed):

Savage Garden - Savage Garden
1. To the Moon & Back
2. I Want You
3. Truly Madly Deeply
4. Tears of Pearls
5. Universe
6. Carry on Dancing
7. Violet
8. Break Me Shake Me
9. Thousand Words
10. Promises
11. Santa Monica

B-Sides
All Around Me
This Side Of Me
Love Can Move You
Fire Inside The Man
I'll Bet He Was Cool
Memories Are Designed To Fade
Mine (was on debut album for Australia and other countries instead of Santa Monica)

Savage Garden - Affirmation
1. Affirmation
2. Hold Me
3. I Knew I Loved You
4. The Best Thing
5. Crash And Burn
6. Chained To You
7. The Animal Song
8. The Lover After Me
9. Two Beds And A Coffee Machine
10. You Can Still Be Free
11. Gunning Down Romance
12. I Don't Know You Anymore

B-Sides
I Don't Care

If you need any more information, please just ask. Hope I've helped.
