Question Serial # M.229058. This one has silver keys, I'm wondering cause I understand that the Mark's came only with golden keys. I want to get it but I want to confirm if is original. I would appreciate your help. Thanks
Answer Here is a wonderful page of info on the Selmer VI:
There were a few silver plate VI's made but I don't recall any that had a gold body and silver keys. If yours is completely silver you have an extremely rare and valuable horn there. Most likely yours is a Mark VII or series III horn . During the late 70's Selmer began experimenting with different lacquer and lacquer combinations. Your serial number puts it in this range.
