I've just read a book about parapsychology. It described the experiences of those who died for a while and came back and those who died and only came back as "ghosts" to tell people what it is like to be there, and how it all looks like. I must say that I'm quite impressed by the book. The author did not try to say that it's all true, but he tried to be as realistic/believable as possible and I think he was successful. He often mentioned that many things may be just tricks of our minds, but when he went deeper into it many things turned out to be, or at least seemed to be authentic.
What's your point of view on afterlife and parapsychology in general?
Thank You
ANSWER: I have worked on and off in the field of parapsychology since 1974. Initially it was as a graduate student at the University of Mississippi and later as an independent researcher. Much of the science of parapsychology deals with the misconceptions of the mind and human nature. Visions, Out of Body Experiences, Near Death Experiences, ghosts, PSI and other phenomena may exist. However, at present we do not have the scientific means to evaluate such occurrences. For this reason, most areas of PSI are subjective in nature and will remain so until science devises a means by which to evaluate such events.

QUESTION: Hello again
You wrote: Much of the science of parapsychology deals with the misconceptions of the mind and human nature.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THIS?
THANK YOU
Answer This can be answered in two parts:
1. People lie and assume that by telling lies, they will somehow become more important and of greater benefit;
2. People are simply incorrect in their assessment of certain normal events. They at times see, hear and feel things that are simply not there or that they misunderstand.
Many of the events of the paranormal fall into the above categories. The remainder, makes up the unknown.
