Question I'm working on a research paper for my english class, and was wondering how do you cite a quote from an online source?
Answer Exactly how you do this depends on which style guide you are using. In general, however, you should make the bibliographic entry consistent with the other entries and show the URL and when you accessed the site. The important thing is that the reader be able to find your source. But look it up in the style manual you have been assigned. All the current style guides have examples of citing online sources.
It amazes me that students try to write papers without the style guides. None of them are expensive.
