Question
Hi there,
i am need help in writing the body of my cover letter for a position as a language instructor.  I don't have any teaching experience but i have tutored spanish for beginners to adults   in their homes or in university.  Right now I am tutoring spanish for beginners for a third year university student.
Please help me as the deadline for the application is tomorrow.
thank you  in advance
Manuela

Although I lack direct experience in teaching in a classroom, in the past months I
have developed some kind of student teaching experience teaching adults spanish for beginners.  At the present time I private tutor a third year student with beginner's spanish.  This position enables me to provide these students with a “head start” in mastering basic skills. I am challenged to be creative, nurturing and most of all, patient.  I enjoy tutoring students and helping them build confidence in their ability to achieve, both academically and socially. I would like to continue to develop my teaching skills while creating a challenging and fun learning environment for  students.  It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic,  intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to your school.

Answer
Try this. You were already off to a good start.

<<Although I lack classroom teaching experience, I have tutored students in Spanish at all levels, from children and beginners to adults learning a second language. Right now, I am tutoring a third-year university student in beginning Spanish. I have found I am able to give my students  a head start in the basic language skills, and I do my best to be creative, nurturing, and, most of all, patient. I know from my tutoring experience that I enjoy teaching and helping others achieve both academically and socially. I intend to continue to develop my teaching skills and am committed to creating challenging and fun learning environments for my students. I believe my combination of experience, enthusiasm, and commitment will enable me to make a positive contribution to your school.>>

Hope this helps.
