Question
I have just been assigned a English paper. I'm supposed to write a reflective essay, I'm not sure exactly what that is because i was out of school that day. Now I'm very worried about it. If you could just give me a breif idea of what a "Reflective Essay" is could you please give me some help.

    -Jacqueline Barber

Answer
In general, a reflective essay should be a review of your thoughts about some specific project or event in your life. Usually, it will be about something that has been very important to you.

That is a general description of a reflective essay. But to be safe, you should ask your instructor specifically what he or she wants you to do in this essay. Individual instructors may have very different ideas about what they want, and if you were absent that day your instructor should understand and appreciate why you would want a bit of guidance.

Hope this helps.
