Question
do you think  our founding father's approve or disapprove of our government today?

Answer
This is a great question, although not really related to writing. I know Thomas Jefferson (http://www.jeffersonhour.org/) would not have approved of the direction our government has taken over the years. He was a strong advocate for "hands-off" government whereas our political system tends to support government control over many aspects of our lives. Many of our founding fathers advocated individual rights and a strong system of checks and balances to ensure no aspect of government could gain too much control. Today, there is some overlap in the three branches of government.

Andrew Jackson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacksonian_democracy) supported a strong presidency and a weaker Congress.

I suggest doing an online search for "Jefferson government philosophy" and "founding fathers government philosophy" for more information. Thanks for writing.
