Subject: Looking for a library book I read in Elementary School in the early 1970's

Question
Hey. I'm not sure if you can help me, but I read a series of books when I was in elementary about a young boy that had adventures in a spaceship. It was probably in the early 1970's when I read the series. I can't remember much else about it.

Answer
There are many, many such stories.  You probably read some of the Robert Heinlein juvenile books.  The most popular are

Time for the Stars
Tunnel in the Sky
Farmer in the Sky
Podkayne of Mars
Between Planets

Also popular:

Starship Troopers
The Man from P.I.G. by Harry Harrison
