Question
We had a phone call at our library about a science fiction short story. The customer read around 30 years ago about a some kind of drones called "snow birds" that dropped bombs. He says that the short sotry was not called snow birds. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry -never read this one. Here's an excellent index to older SF short stories and novels. your customer can try looking through it. Short stories are notoriously hard to find, especially if their only appearance was in a magazine. Even harder to locate if their only appearance was in a non-SF magazine like Playboy or Harpers. If the customer remembers more information, they can google keywords.
