Question I read a science fiction book in the late 1980's that I wish I could find now and reread and give to my kids. I do not recall the title. The story is about these clear spheres that can be placed around people or situations (like a crashing airplane) and all time stops inside the sphere. At the end of the book a character sets a sphere to hold them inside and only open for a minute every 100 (?) years so they end up living for eons and seeing how everything in their part of earth changes...wish I could recall more.
Answer I read this one, too, but also can't remember the name. Try googling key words and please let me know if you find it again so I can read it a second time.
You might try the word "Brigadoon" in your search. It's a legendary Scottish town that winks into existence for one day every 100 years, and inspired a Broadway musical of the same name.
