Question Decades ago I read a sci fi story about Earth visitors on another planet. If I remember correctly, the visitors are talking to their hosts about life on the planet while out of view and interspersed throughout the story there is a commotion going on outside. At the end of the story, a visitor asks what all the activity was about, and one of the hosts apologizes for the distraction, stating that a common criminal named Jesus Christ had been put to death.
I may have some of the plot confused, but the story was definitely not Arthur C. Clarke's "The Star." Any help you can give with identifying this story will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
Answer It's also not Crucifixus Etiam, or Behold the Man. I never read the story you mentioned, but you may be able to find it in this Wikipedia article
