Science Fiction Books/SF I read in the 70's

I haven't read Tom Godwin's "Too Soon to Die" in years, but I think it is also about people transported to a planet with heavy gravity and a fever, the combination of which kills most of the people off. Then it kills many but fewer of the next generation, and fewer of the next.

A check around the internet cleared some of my confusion by saying that this story was the basis for "Space Prison" (Wikipedia says "Survivors").

Space Prison is available free on Project Gutenberg.

I have a large collection of paperback SF. I am a serious collector. I can answer quetions about books by a particular author or books published by a particular publisher. I have a special interest in cover art and the artists who do the covers.

I have been collecting SF paperbacks since the 1950s and I have many reference books about Science Fiction.
