Subject: carbonation cans vs bottles

Question
I am doing a science fair project on carbonation.  My experiment is to show
which is higher in carbonation,  soda in cans or bottles?   If I need a soda type I
would choose Coca-Cola.     I think I would shake it up and then open the bottle
and then the can to see which had more pressure.  Any conclusions about this or
does anyone know?????    Due on Tuesday!!!

Answer
Get some balloons.  Put the cans and bottles either both in the fridge or both on the counter so they are at the same temperature.  Open the can/bottle and quickly stick a balloon over the opening.  Then shake up the soda and see how much gas comes out.  It will be tricky getting the ballon over the can - maybe jam something into the opening that you can put the balloon onto?  Or else use a bubbler to capture the gas into an upside-down glass container which might be easier than balloons.
