Subject: Co2 levels in club soda

Question
How much carbon dioxide is in a 355 ml can of club soda?

Answer
Read these three articles

Since CO2 makes up about 0.3% of the earth's atmosphere, unless you pressurize the soda, it can contain no more than 0.3% CO2.  If you try to put in more, it will escape.  Soda bottlers fill up the extra empty space inside the bottle with extra CO2 to keep the CO2 in the soda from coming out while in the bottle.

Do the math and you'll see how much CO2 is dissolved in the soda when it is poured out into a glass sitting on the counter.  When it is pressurized in the can, there will be more CO2, which depends on how much pressure the bottler uses.
