Question I wanted to create a fireworks display that I could set off from a distance. I read somewhere that it could be done with a pager. Any ideas as to where I should start?
Answer Hi Daniel,
Fireworks of any type are dangerous and have been known to hurt, maime and even kill people. This can happen even with remote displays done by professionals. You would require sophisticated electronics equipment to do what you are looking for and it is the same equipment used by terrorists to set off explosives and IEDs in Iraq and else where. People who buy these kinds of items are placed on watch lists by the FBI and other security services.
I personally don't think that this is a good idea. You should think of something else.
