About Amy
Expertise
I love understanding how things work, especially when it comes to living things. I`ve spent most of my life studying science and love passing on this knowledge to kids. I currently work in a children`s science museum where I`ve designed science exhibits on all sorts of topics; including predators, music, weather, water, technology and much, much more! I`m happy to answer questions about anything you have problems with at school or help you with science projects. Also, I can help teachers with ideas for classroom activities. Please note that I don`t answer homework questions.

Experience
I have an honours degree in Biochemistry and work as a science communicator for the National Science and Technology Centre in Australia.

Question
I'm an 8th grader in advanced highschool credit physical science. I need to find the ingredients for Coke and Tropicana OJ. Thanks a bunch! ASAP Please!

Answer
Hi Emily

Here's the coke recipe

Citrate Caffein, 1 oz.
Ext. Vanilla, 1 oz.
Flavoring, 2.5 oz.
F.E. Coco, 4 oz.
Citric Acid, 3 oz.
Lime Juice, 1 Qt.
Sugar, 30 lbs.
Water, 2.5 Gal.
Caramel sufficient
Mix Caffeine Acid and Lime Juice in 1 Qt Boiling water add vanilla and flavoring when cool.

Flavoring
Oil Orange, 80
Oil Lemon, 120
Oil Nutmeg, 40
Oil Cinnamon, 40
Oil Coriander, 40
Oil Neroli, 40
Alcohol, 1 Qt.
let stand 24 hours.

I'm guessing that Tropicana OJ is 100% orange juice (at least that what it says on their website). Probably best to go down to your store and have a look.

Thanks,
Amy
