I just read your reply to the person who takes lithium from a psych. I will leave the door open to the possibility you were being sincere, but that door is narrow.
Have you forgotten the world is full of many misguided individuals, stupidity, and... 2 1/2% that are really bad? That leaves a lot of people who need help and care. Especially, those "people in dire circumstances" as you say in the post I am referring to.
It is embarrassing to me, that someone who says or is at the level of OT8 would attack someone victimized by psychiatry in such a fashion as you have done. The appropriate thing to do, would be to show that person the basics, give him a reference, or tell him to go into an org to see if there is any possibility he could advance up the bridge or better his life. And then, attack the correct target, instead of sending someone who is sincerely asking for help into more confusion and upset.
I have read your posts for a few months now, casually soaking in your mindset. And I wonder why you continue to show this behavior, this war, you seem to be fighting.
You are one person on allexperts.com, who asserts his rightness as an expert, yet hides behind the name of a character in the battlefield earth series. A person, who seems to understand much of the tech., yet acts like a complete asshole to people that want help.
I wouldn't be surprised if you are a relic of the 80's, who never attained OT8, and is pissed because he lost what he thought was rightfully his and couldn't confront the counter-efforts placed in front of him so forever more is hurt.
With that statement you have made to that psych victim, you don't deserve to be called a Scientologist. And by looking at your other post saying how you mingle with SP's or disconnect from social people, I see who you really are.
It's a shame man, you're pretty smart. And here is some parting wisdom: Don't let yourself turn into what you can't confront.
Answer First of all: my name actually IS "Jet Heller". That is my name. It has been my name since I was born. I will leave it to YOU to conjecture how/why LRH wound up using that name in the Mission Earth Series! (it was a total shock to me!). I enjoyed the first few volumes of that series ENORMOUSLY, (even more so than Battlefield Earth) though the final few in the series became tedious...maybe LRH didn't personally write the last few volumes, or perhaps his mental capacity was sinking fast due to a destroyed cardio-vascular system, years of drug abuse, and CONSTANT government harassment.
SORRY TO CORRECT YOU ON YOUR FIGURES.....but....C/S Series 22 (1970) MORE correctly states the number of out-and-out psychos as TWENTY PER CENT, not 2.5% (OLD NUMBER). So, 1 out of 5 of the people you meet are murderous psychopaths, and my personal estimate is that another 60% of the human race is PTS to them (due to inability to confront evil).
That leaves only 20% of the human race as potentially fit companions (barring workable therapy, should they be so lucky, as found in DN and SCN). My experience in life continues to bear this out.
Scientology's mission is to help the ABLE become more able - not to rescue human detritus from the garbage heap. The church's only interest in attacking psychiatry is to win a PR battle. You are miles away from an OT viewpoint on this one. Never lose your ability to discern ACTUALITIES from mere belief and PR gambits.
Psychiatry attacked Scientology, so Scientology has attacked psychiatry. Otherwise, these two fields are not even in the same line of country! Scientology helps the ABLE become more ABLE. Psychiatry preys on mental defectives.
This is just a PR battle. And...I have seen Churches of Scientology link hands in enthusiastic common cause with psychiatry and psychologists, when those orgs had become overrun by DBs. When it comes to local orgs, the local social clique takes all precedence over Standard Tech and the true mission of Scientology.
Why else do you think orgs are so bizarrely shrunken? The orgs I have visited are GHOST TOWNS compared to the orgs of the boom days of the 70s. If you aren't an old timer, maybe you can't know this. You're probably used to today's shrunken orgs, run by poorly trained and seldom processed kids.
Don't waste your pity on the DBs that make up the overwhelming majority of the human race! The spineless wimps that wind up in psychiatric hands deserve every kilowatt and cc of psych-treatment they get. DBs and psychs were made for each other.
I made it to OT VIII by stepping over uncounted numbers of DB staff members who did their level best to prevent me (and others) from progressing up the Bridge. I have no remorse or pity for them. Most of these losers are either dead or blown/declared from the Church now.
Remember LRH's words (aboard the Apollo): "Scientology, poorly applied, is NOTHING TO DEFEND."
I reserve my accolades for that tiny, tiny minority of heroic, able staff members who held the door open for me, who studied their tech HARD, and kept their purposes clear. THERE'S your "2 1/2%"!
