Question
QUESTION: Hi Jet. Thanks for the answer to my question regarding being married to a non-Scientologist. I have other questions completely disrelated to this:

My understanding of OT (albeit severely limited, as I have not been there, done that, nor have I yet attained even the first step on the Bridge), is much heightened awareness of oneself as being a spiritual being, distinct from the physical universe, and distinct from the physical body. In other words, even in an awake state (i.e.; when the physical body is not sleeping) a thetan can be highly aware or hardly aware. High toned beings are spiritually more awake than asleep. Accidents, alcohol and drugs, physical pain, emotional trauma all render a degree of unawareness.

What happens then when the physical body goes to sleep at night ? When I sleep I haven't the foggiest idea of what happened during that time. Does this change when you are OT? Is sleep the same mechanism as unconsciousness and death? Do the lights go out when you sleep when you are OT as well?

I can see that a person can "go exterior" and perceive of himself as being out of his body but I don't get the difference or the relationship between death, sleep and unconsciousness, and being exterior as an OT. Does it have something to do with the degree of "separation" of the thetan to his body?

ANSWER: How can a basically invisible thing (a thetan) that can pass through any  barrier of matter, that cannot be killed.....how can such a thing be trapped?

Answer: only by succeeding in FIXATING its attention.

So, you and all the other thetans have had their attention fixated along established patterns. Why do you think you have such a DEATH grip on the body? You're under a compulsion to do so.

Minus the compulsion, you would LAUGH at any cross-identification with a body.

The average thetan has a DEATH grip on his body. The average fixated thetan is IMMERSED in the body to an unimaginable degree, devoted to its care, wired into all its nerve impulses etc......why do you think exteriorization is not easy?

So at night, you never really relax your guard. You maintain your death grip on the body, and drift into unconsciousness (sleep) along with it, experiencing surprisingly detailed hallucinations called "dreams".

The whole predicament is rather nauseating, as you begin to confront it.

Despite exaggerated claims, only a handful of people have escaped the state of bondage to the body, even temporarily, down through history. Most Scientologists are VERY glib on the subject of exteriorization, when in truth, they wouldn't know true exteriorization if it jumped up and bit them on the a**.

True, knowing exteriorization, with perception, is a state achieved by no more than several dozen Scientologists since 1950. This experience, though profound, is in the long run NOT therapeutic. Profound? Yes, but it triggers an avalanche of booby traps that you may not recover from in one life.

This state is guaranteed NOWHERE on the current Bridge.

Best wishes,

Jet Heller, OT VIII

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: Wow. That's quite something. Jeez that's actually mind-boggling. There must have been some really tricky customers around back then. But it does ring true and make sense to me. The 15 levels above OT8 would be there then to get a being back to native state. Do you think that these levels will be released in the next 10 years or 20 years? Are you concerned at all that they might not be released soon?

Answer
Not concerned - I have already lined-up my alternate source for OT 9-10.

Renegade Class XII auditors have been able to see the OT materials beyond OT VIII (before leaving the church), and are already delivering it. The current church management is withholding this technology, because they FEAR production of OTs.

It's too bad it isn't more generally available, but frankly most of the human race won't even make it past Scientology's first intro course, so it's not as if any serious deprivation is going on.

The first OTs beyond OT VIII are already being produced...OUTSIDE the Church of Scientology. No one is complete yet, for these are lengthy levels. Toronto is a GREAT place to continue up the Bridge. Canada also feels like a much safer space than the USA or Europe.

I would have started already, but I am in the midst of L10.

Best wishes - and I do sincerely hope you will avail yourself of LRH's
technology - but it IS up to you. I especially pity church staff members who have spent decades on staff, receiving very little auditing in return. What a raw deal. These poor saps are SO dedicated - but their loyalties are SO misguided.

Oh well! It's THEIR choice. Myself? I'd rather continue up the Bridge.

Good luck!

Jet Heller, OT VIII
