Question
What is the church policy towards people in the freezone? I heard that no one in the church is allowed to have contact with you guys, and that no former freezoner is allowed in the church.

What level of freezone involvement  exemplifies "membership", according to them?

Answer
I'm not a freezoner, but a regular church member.

Policy is we should not knowingly or purposely have contact with persons who are avowed members of groups hostile to the success of the church, such as the freezone.  Makes sense, as all they're gonna try to do is bring us down.

As long as the freezone continues to be organized and in existence, no former member will be allowed UPPER LEVEL services in the church - as a security matter.

As a fully trained Ethics Officer, were I functioning in an official capacity (which I am not at this time, as I have not been on staff anywhere in about eighteen years), the prohibition would not apply to me.

I could not say for certain what the church would officially consider "membership," especially since the freezoners themselves don't formally recognize "membership" per se, as far as I know.  However, if on considered one's self a member or partook in their practices, one was a member.  If one contributed money or work in support of their efforts, or bought something from them like auditing or training, or traded or bartered in order to get same, one was a member.

Expertise

I am able to answer questions regarding Scientology practices and procedures, religious philosophy, donations, religious rites, management, administrative and staff matters.

Experience

I am a second generation Scientologist whose parents began in Dianetics in 1950 and studied directly with L. Ron Hubbard. I have been personally active in the church for 42 years, have eleven years former staff experience in both technical and administrative areas, and extensive technical and administative training and counseling. I am "clear" and "OT." I come from an extended family of many religions, but my spouse and children are Scientologists, as are my siblings and their spouses, several cousins, nieces, nephews, an aunt, and an uncle. Between us we have had every good and bad experience one might go through in the church at every level.
