ANSWER: You have asked 5 questions here and each is a complex one but I will try to answer as best as i can. I will have to refer you to other links or books for the answer in most cases however.
1. Can you give me a rundown on what the progression of tech is, from very basic to very advanced?
I guess it starts with self analysis, am I right?
LRH wrote a number of books, and hundreds of bulletins on the progression of the technology of applying the philosophy so it is not practical to give such a rundown in a few sentences.
Most students to the subject do the Saint Hill Special Briefing Course which lasts around 6 months full time and that is designed to give a historical rundown on the technology and includes around 3000 taped lectures.
I would recommend you read some books such as:
Scientology 0-8
Scientology 808008
Science of Survival
The Phoenix Lectures
Creation of Human Ability
Fundamentals of Thought
New Slant on Life
Advanced Procedures and Axioms
as a basis to understand the philosophy and its practical applications
2. Why do believe that the tech as presented by the church is no longer accurate or achieves results?
Basically because they have altered and changed the technology so it does not give the same results.

Because it has been found the original philosophy of Hubbard produces the results expected of it and knowing that it works by observation.
4. What is the difference in the tech?
Not quite sure what you mean. Compared to what?
5. What are the major flaws of Scientology, as you perceive them?
There are no flaws in the original philosophy or technology. There MAY be flaws in the churches rendition of the technology since it has been changed from the original and does not carry the stamp of LRH anymore. The church simply pays lip service to the philosophy and does not even apply it among themselves.
6. Why do you believe that the tech
This looks like an incomplete question. Works perhaps?
Well from my own experience and many others, It is not a matter of belief, it is a matter of observation. One can see that the original technology works and does as is stated. Much in the same way that one can see a bridge works by virtual of it continuing to be there without falling down.

QUESTION: I want to have an earnest conversation about Scientology with someone who has been in the game for a while. I live in NYC. Where can I find someone? That extent of communication with the Freezone will exclude me from pursuing activities within the church?

I was really just looking for a very general, overall understanding of where the start and finish lines are, as well as whats in between. I don't need any technical details or specific processes. What I want to know is where does the mind start, what it goes through, and where it's supposed to end up as a result in as dense and brief packet of information as possible. I've read a couple of the books you mentioned and so have concepts of the reactive mind and such. Whats behind the reactive mind's functioning? Body thetans? Does the Freezone org even believe in body thetans?

I meant the difference in tech between your tech and Scio's tech.. Again just basic fundamentals, I'm sure its impossible to go in depth.

A. Give me your email address and I will find someone for you to talk to.
as the Church tends to harass Freezoners, I do not just give out freezone peoples email address willy nilly but get them to call who is genuinely interested in finding out more.

A. Well I cannot give a course in a format such as this. The answers regarding the reactive mind are contained in the books:
Dianetics; The Modern Science of Mental Health and
Dianetics Today.

A. I guess money considering how much they charge. I also believe it is an attempt to destroy the technology from within by the current chairman of the board.

A. The only way you will ever know is to try it for yourself. It like asking a waiter, "Is the rice nice today" How can he say? It might be nice for him but you might not like it.
Unless you try it and find out for yourself you will never know. Don't take other peoples opinion of something. Investigate the technology and hceck the results yourself.

A. The basic fundamentals can be found in the books I outlined before. Especially the Advanced Procedures and Axioms. Also Phoenix Lectures.

Q. 1. Based on what do you believe that?
A. No belief required, as I said it is based upon observation. One is not out to PROVE anything. What is real to you is real to you. If it is not real to you, move on. If you are interested in find out, check the technology for yourself. Try the ARC triangle and the Stable Datum. You don't have to get auditing, you can simply look and observe the basics in action in live. Check out people at different tone levels. See how they react. Read science of survival for a complete treaties on the tone scale.

A. That has already been done. When you discover a basic truth where do you go from there?
The technology has been tried and tested and produces one for one results when applied exactly. If you apply it differently then of course you are going to get different results.
Some people try to 'improve' the technology with really understanding the basics at all.
