AboutMick Wenlock Expertise I can answer questions dealing with a wide range of Scientology subjects. My main area of
expertise is in the Management of the Church of Scientology. Along with that, the issues
faced by people leaving the Church and the Sea Organization. I am no longer a member of the Church of Scientology.
As I do not now possess a library of Hubbard's books, specific questions about auditing
processes are not something I can give references for.
Experience I was in the Sea Organization and Management of the Church for 13 years. I ran one of the Advanced Organizations.
Education/Credentials I have two Associates degrees in Engineering and Computer Science
Question I wanted to get some auditing from a local auditor, although I couldn't really find one, and then I ran across this site. There was a statement regarding "Freezone" and auditing. I know I heard on some LRH tape where he talked about getting training and then hanging your shingle up in front of your new place of business. That sounds to me like it's okay to go to an independent auditor rather than to spend a huge amount of money for the same thing. So, what is the problem with going to a trained auditor who is working on his own, and not a Sea Org. member? Thanks, Larry
Answer Hi Larry,
As I am no longer a member of Scientology and think that the "auditing" is a colossal waste of time and money as well as being potentially harmful to anyone's state of mind any advice I would have would not help you very much.
There is nothing in the world to stop you getting auditing from whomever you wish. But if you do get auditing from someone the CofS disapproves of, then you will not be able to get services with the CofS in the future.
