Hi Laurie,

Does LRH discuss ghosts? Would they be considered a thetan without MEST?

I don't recall Ron specifically discussing ghosts as such.

I do recall him discussing a thetan getting stuck to a certain place or time.

A thetan without MEST would be . . . a thetan.

A "ghost" as most people think of it would be someone who should have moved on to the next life but did not, and who WOULD have some MEST stuck around them, pictures and energy of one kind or another, and would be unable to let go of a place, time or incident - which is why they would "haunt" a particular area or structure.  I've no objective evidence that any such thing exists, but Scientology theory does not rule out the possibility.  It would be a person with no body, who is completely stuck in a picture.

I am a second generation Scientologist whose parents began in Dianetics in 1950 and studied directly with L. Ron Hubbard. I have been personally active in the church for nearly 50 years, have eleven years former staff experience in both technical and administrative areas, and extensive technical and administative training and counseling. I am "clear" and "OT." I come from an extended family of many religions, but my spouse and children are Scientologists, as are my siblings and their spouses, several cousins, nieces, nephews, an aunt, and an uncle. Between us we have had every good and bad experience one might go through in the church at every level.
