Question
Thank you for your answer to my husband's family question. My family on my mother's side is Walker and I found family members on your Caledonia Highlander site that seems to have been removed. I found John Henry Walker b 1837 and other family members. This family moved to Caledonia NY and I can find all in census, maps etc.  However, John Henry Walker's father is William Walker b 1797 to 1802. I can find this on cencus, his home on old maps etc. but I can't find his parents or anything more on William.  Census show he was b in NY, so from that I would think that his parents came from Scotland, but can't find him in any family records.  I think he was mentioned on your Caledonia Highlander site but with no other information.
His wife was Charlotte (we think second wife as have daughter b before marriage).  Can you help me with this family?  Also what happened to your Caledonia Highlander site?  Thanks again

Answer
 Hi Gladys
Growing up in the Caledonia, NY area I am certain that I knew some of your relatives. Thanks for the questions again but I really need to spend some time researching your family. Your family more that likely is from the Broadalbin area of Perthshire and have close connections to the McDougall's and the McIntyre's.
Please contact me in a few weeks to see if I have found some more information for you.  I am sorry at the moment I don't have any insights for you.
PS Caledonia Highlanders is still up and running. Just search for it in Goggle. I have not updated it in sometime.  I have had some large work commitments which I am changing in the near future to devote more time to my genealogy.
Looking forward to talking with you soon with some answers Gladys.

 Sincerely,
 Thomas McIntyre
