Question I guess this isn't really a culture question but when I found this website I
thought I'd try aanyway. I was in Scotland 10 yrs ago (& loved it). I have a
video of a boy with a strong accent giving a presentation on a boat on Loch
Ness. I can make out most of what he's saying, but I'm having trouble with
several sentences. Do you know where I can find someone who can help me
figure it out? I could send them a copy of the video file with a transcript.
Thanks.
Answer Hi Scott
This is a strange one. I have to say that the Invernesian accent is one of the clearest accents in the UK - and Inverness is the nearest large conurbation to Loch Ness. I guess I could help - can you upload it online somewhere and email the transcript as you have it? I'm not promising anything, but I have transcribed tapes before.
Otherwise, if you have your own shot in the dark at the sentences you're having problems with, why not post them here and I will see what I can do.
