Question
I am a grandaughter of James Campbell Annin of Caledonia, NY and having difficulty in finding clan information for the name "Annin".  Is the name a modification of an older name?  "Caledonia Highlanders" is fascinating!

Answer
 Ann
What a wonderful surprise to hear from you!  I would love to ask you some questions about your family.  Please contact me through my e-mail at oatkamac@yahoo.com
As to your question Annin seems that name only appears in the United States.  It is spelled Annan in Canada and Scotland.  I agree with you that it seems Annin or Annan is not affiliated with any clan.
Thanks for looking at Caledonia Highlanders I am sure you found quite a bit of information about your family.  Do you live in the Caledonia area now?
Looking forward to talking to you real soon!

 Your cousin,
