Subject: Glitter Adhesive Die-Cuts

Question
I went to the scrapbook show in Houston last winter and saw something really awesome.  Unfortunately, our group of ladies was tired, and really didn't show a lot of interest.  Now, we are regretting it.  The booth had something similar to die-cut cardboard shapes with adhesive on the fron side.  All you had to do was pour glitter on the adhesive, let dry, and place in your album.  There were many different styles and colors of glitter.  Several people there were demonstrating.  Do you have any idea what these are called and were we can find them?  Four of us are very desperate to get our hands on this!  Thanks!

Answer
Hi
Are you sure the shapes already had adhesive on them?
I have seem many times where people have taken a chipboard shape and added adhesive to the front and added embellishments such as beads or glitter or patterned paper, but I am sorry to say I have not seen them come with the adhesive on them.

There are many ways to do this depending on the embellishment you wish to add.  Personally I prefer to use precut chipboard shapes then I run them through my Xyron machine when I want to cover them with paper. When using beads I like to use Tacky Tape.  When using glitter I like to use a liquid adhesive which I brush on so it's even.

I hope this helps
Have a happy scrappy day
Nichole
