Hi

I have several questions regarding alphabet and numeric punch sets. I saw on a website that the alphabet set from Friskars measured 3/8”. Do you think this size is rather small for scrapbooking projects?  I know that EK Success alphabet and numeric paper punch sets are measured at ½” for letters and 5/8” for numbers. Is this a better size for scrapbooking projects?  In addition, EK Success has individual letters punches which measures at 1-1/4” which is the size I like since they are bigger and they would be great for borders and titles.  Do you know if EK Success sells the alphabet and numeric punch sets in 1-1/4” size?  Is it worth investing in these sets?  And, last question, which brand is better: Friskars, EK Success, Uchida, or Armada Art for paper punches?

Thanks
Confused

Answer -
First off I am so sorry about the delay. I usually answer within the first few hours but have had problems with my shoulder and have been out of action the last couple days. Now to answer your questions I use the 1-1/4" as titles for my pages. The sets are wonderful and save money in the long run because you dont have to buy all the stickers. They help to allow you to use any color you choose. I use Friskars and have not tried any of the others. They work wonderful for me. The biggest thing to look for is what is better for the size pages you need. If you do your own titles, then smaller ones would be fine, but if you want to do titles then you need the bigger ones. Sorry I can not offer assistance on the different brands. let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

Hi Kim

Sorry about your shoulder I hope you are feeling a little better. No problem about the delay in writing. Your health comes first. Anyway, I was wondering where your purchased your 1-1/4" alphabet punch sets from Friskars. The only ones I see are the 3/8" alphabet and numeric punches from Friskars. Sure would love to know. Thanks for your advice

Tamster

Answer
I only have the 3/8" because I still have a lot of stickers im trying to get rid of first. The 1-1/4" I have used but they were a friend's and im not sure of the brand. I dont really use my 3/8 because they are not the size I want. They were a gift, so I use them, but I still plan on getting the bigger ones.
