Scrapbooking/eyelets

Question
I went out and brought a tool set because it was on sale at michael's.  I really would love to use it and do some eyelets on the page im working on... but don't have the first clue on how use the tool  or set the eyelets ... any help or links would be would be very welcome!!  I want to thank you for taking my question

Hi Julia!
first thing you need if you didnt get one is some kind of setting mat. Making Memories makes one as do a couple other companies, or you can use a self healing mat or even a potholder if you dont have anything else =) Depending on which size eyelets you are using, (1/8th or 3/16th) will determine which size of hole to punch. After punching the hole, place your eyelet (face down) on your mat, then put the hole in the paper (face down) over the eyelet, then you will place the setzall setter in the back of the eyelet and wack it with your little hammer. i would definitely practice on some scrap paper with some eyelets first until you get a hang of it. Brass eyelets you will need to wack harder and aluminum eyelets set with less pounding. once you get the hang of it you will be doing it without even thinking.  Hope this helped and made sense.
