Great answer , I have to add on that a little bit . There is a much easier way to rank much quicker and that is to target long tailed keywords with low competition. This is much more targeted and to add on that , when doing your keyword research in googleadwords filter out the word free , so your only targeting People that are serious about buying something. The Word free is known by google to be spam related and you don't want to target this. If people are want to be serious and find out a solution to their problem they will pay SIMPLE.
