Secondary School Educators/How Could I help My Son

Question
I am not a very educated man myself. I want to help my son to improve in Math.  I got a website subscription to a site called ALEKS (I pay $20 a month) and that is helping us to learn.  I would like to know if you know of any free or low cost resource to help my son to continue improving in his math.  What is the best way to help him with multiplication (learning the tables) and division.

Thank you

Answer
Hi Hector,

I'm basically a high school teacher all my life, so multiplication tables and the like are things I learned by rote and flash cards and things like that.

But you can get tons of free math sites and lessons and tutorials for any level math (especially elementary), just by searching using a search engine ( I use Google).

I typed in "free online math help" , and got literally millions of things.  Then you can pick and choose which you like. I'm sure some of them have animations and games to help students learn.

Try it, I think you'll find lots of stuff.  Maybe you can even save the $20 a month.
