Question
QUESTION: Hi, my power 832 trouble light #2 is on, i have checked the AC power, it is good. can anyone please tell me what's going on with the #2 light means?
thank you very much!

ANSWER: Hi Eric. Here's a description of the 832 trouble lights:
A description of the various troubles are as follows:
Trouble [1] - Service Required This light will be on if any of the following trouble conditions are detected by the
control panel; Low Battery, Bell Circuit Trouble, General System Trouble, General System Tamper, General System
Supervisory, PC5204 Low Battery and PC5204 AC Failure.
If a ‘Service Required’ trouble is present press [1] to determine the specific trouble present. The following is a list of
the specific ‘Service Required’ trouble conditions:
• Light [1] - Low Battery. The main panel backup battery is low. The trouble will be generated if the battery drops
below 11.5 volts under load. Also it will restore when the battery charges over 12.5V.
• Light [2] - Bell Circuit Trouble. The panel will indicate this trouble if the Bell PTC has been activated or the panel
senses an open condition on the bell circuit (See Section 5.12 “Siren Supervision”).
• Light [3] - General System Trouble. This trouble will be present if the PC5204 Power Supply module has an AUX
failure, PC5204 Output #1 Trouble, or a printer connected to the PC5400 Printer module has a fault (off-line).
• Light [4] - General System Tamper. This trouble will be indicated if a Tamper Zone violation on any module
is detected.
• Light [5] - General System Supervisory. This trouble will be indicated if the panel loses communication with
any module connected to the Keybus (See Section 2.7 “Enable Supervision”). The event buffer will log a
detailed description of the event.
• Light [6] - Not Used
• Light [7] - PC5204 Low Battery. The PC5204 module has a low backup battery.
• Light [8] - PC5204 AC Failure. The PC5204 module has lost AC power.

Best Regards,

Dave

QUESTION: Thanks so much Dave, i also found on the use manual, it says "loss of AC power", since i alredy check the AC and no problem, should i change the battery? or what should i do with the "Bell Circuit Trouble"?

Answer
Well, the battery is a separate trouble light (7).

Bell circuit trouble would be a broken or cut wire for the circuit that powers your bell or siren. It could also be a tamper switch if the bell or siren is in an enclosure.

What lead you to suspect power?

Dave
