Question
i moved into a home that has the DSC Power 832 Security system. there are a number of keypads in different areas of the house. These keypads all display the correct time and date, but but none of the alarm status lights are are on. i'm not real familiar with these systems...can you recommend where to start? i have the instruction manual but i have no idea who installed it. thanks.

Answer
The status lights may not be "on" because a zone (or zones) are faulted (this could mean an open door or window or that you're walking in front of a motion sensor).  Push the # sign to display any open zones.  Close those windows or doors and the green "ready" light should illuminate.
