Is it feasible to install CCTV cameras in Cable Cars and then centrally monitored by CCTV monitors?.
Answer Hello Prashant:
Yes. There are a number of options open to you. Is there power available on the cable cars? 12 volt and 24 volt wireless cameras are available. You will have to position radio repeaters (powered locally) in a number of areas to ensure the signal arrives at your monitoring centre. Each camera could have a unique address on the system so that you could even install more than one camera in each car. There are a number of manufacturers and agents you could work with that I know of in North America. We have ethernet cameras in all of our Skytrains (Vancouver, BC), but they're electrically powered with wired connections.
