Question We moved into this house Oct. 2006. It has a alarm system that we have not used because we were replacing all the doors, so we waited until all the doors were installed, I replaced all the door contacts/switches and got all zones are good
but I got a auxiliary "A" alarm. This is the first time we have used the system. I have the code but not sure if a number or other key is to be pushed before or after the code. I push clear alarm and put in code but does nothing. Thank you
Answer I had to go to my alarm expert for this one, and he's not even sure. His answer:
"What is confusing is the "auxiliary "A" alarm" condition.
Auxiliary usually refers to an attachment such as a freezer/furnace thermostat. If it is too warm or too cold, the "Auxiliary" zone would be in trouble.
On my alarm panel, I not only have a low temperature alarm condition, I also have a sump pump failure switch. See if your client also changed or removed anything like this."
I don't know if that helps you, but I'm afraid that's the best I can do on this one. Your only alternative, of course, would be to call in a LICENSED alarm technician. Sorry that's the best I can suggest. I hope it works.
