Seeding and Propagation/Snow Ball Bush

Question
My snowball is very healthy looking, but it didn't bloom this year. why?

Answer
The primary reason a perennial will not bloom is damage done to the buds due to a late frost. The plant will still thrive, but it will not bloom. The other factor is soil conditions. If the soil is lacking phosphorus, the nutrient required for blooming, the plant will produce lush foliage but no blossoms. To correct this problem, you need to fertilize the plants in early spring with a product high in phosphorus.

I hope this answered your question. Please write again if I can ever provide assistance.
