Experience I've been growing my own seeds for 20 years with indoor propagation equipment I built myself. I am also an Allexperts volunteer on the perennial forum. I have completed the Master Gardener course through the Kansas State University Extension. I have experience with a wide variety of seeds and I have also read through Norm Deno's books on seed germination.
Question Hi
My sweetpeas have pods and I am not sure where to go from here, I would like to "save" seeds for next season, do I pick and let them dry or do I take seeds out of pod?
Answer Hi Pat,
Thanx for your question. Allow the seed pods to dry out and turn yellow. Pick them before they start splitting too much. Then, remove the round pea seeds and store them in a glass jar and seal with a lid, dry, cool and dark. I hope this helps.
