About Ariela
Expertise
I own all the DVDs, and have watched all of the special features and commentaries on all the episodes, most of them several times. I have whole sections of dialouge memorized as well as knowing a lot of little details. I'm good at placing a random quote, character, or scene, into its correct episode and season. I can also fill you in on all details of any minor character that ever appeared on the show or any answer any minor triva-type questions. However, I don't know much about the actor's real lives, or products seen on the show.

Seinfeld - Newman's name

Expert: Ariela - 3/24/2008

Question
One site said "Specter" Newman.  Is it possible his name was said in the episode that the USPS brought Cramer in for questioning with Wilford Brimley, then they brought in Newman after him?

Answer
Dear Chris,

Hi. Sorry to disappoint but the bottom line is that Newman's first name was never revealed on the show. The episode you're referring to is "The Junk Mail" (9th season). In this episode Newman was simply referred to as "Postal Employee Newman," in the scene in the post office.

I hope this answered all of your questions and please feel free to write again!

A friendly reminder, positive feedback is always appreciated. :)

Best wishes,
yada yada yada,
Ariela
