Seinfeld/SEINFELD QUESTION
Expert: Rob Hill - 5/1/2009
QuestionHi,
I have been a huge fan of Seinfeld (along with many of my friends) for years
now. The other night, a few of us got into an argument over a particular
scene in one episode. I remember a scene in which Jerry and Kramer are
having a heated discussion/argument in Jerry's apartment. During the scene,
Jerry is holding a bottle of water, and Kramer (seemingly inadvertently) hits
the bottle all over Jerry's face. My friends don't remember this scene, but I'm
sure it happened. Please let me know which episode this is from so that I can
show it to them. Thanks
Wayne
AnswerHi Wayne,
I believe you may have stumped me!
I do not specifically remember a water bottle being spilled onto Jerry's face. However, I can vaguely recall a scene where Kramer was frantically talking with Jerry. He was either arguing or pleading with him about something, and I believe Jerry was holding a water bottle. With a wild hand motion, Kramer inadvertently makes contact with the water bottle, which spills a little bit onto Jerry's shirt.
A few scenes came to my mind where Kramer and Jerry would've been in such a confrontation.
The Contest (Season 4): When Kramer was on his knees begging Jerry to not tell the naked woman across the street to close her drapes.
The Big Salad (Season 6): When he was mimicking his encounter with Steve Gendeson on the golf course.
The Chicken Roaster (Season 8): When Kramer pleaded with Jerry about Kenny Rogers' chicken.
However, Jerry was not holding a water bottle in any of these scenes.
I will keep researching this and will get back to you if I can come up with a definitive answer. GREAT question, Wayne.
