AboutRob Hill Expertise My specialty is recalling specific quotes and linking them to the episodes in which they aired. I am also well versed in the chronology of the episodes, the seasons in which each episode appeared, the titles of every episode, and which guest stars have appeared in certain episodes. I also own all of the DVDs that have come out so far and have seen all of the inside looks and blooper segments many times.
Experience I have seen every episode at least ten times. (I would estimate that I've seen 80% to 90% of the episodes at least thirty or forty times each.) I think Seinfeld is the greatest sitcom ever made and I would like to help others enjoy the show the same way I have!
Question QUESTION: I can swear there was an episode in the last season where Jerry was dating a french girl who didn't speak english and he thought she was so cool but everything she said in french was dissing him and his friends. I have never seen or heard of that episode ever again. Am i dreaming?
ANSWER: Hi pw,
Jerry never dated a French girl. I believe the episode you may be referring to is Season 6's "The Gymnast", in which Jerry dates a Romanian gymnast named Katya. At one point in the episode Katya and her brother speak in Romanian in front of Jerry, and it appears that they are making fun of him. However, there are no subtitles when they speak.
In Season 5's "The Wife", Jerry cheats on his girlfriend with a woman who appears to possibly be French. However, she never speaks in French -- or any other language besides English -- in the episode.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

QUESTION: No, I know both episodes, that ain't it. They showed subtitles to show what the girl was really saying. They were sitting in a booth, probably at Monks. She was not a big part of this episode. Maybe he wasn't even dating her but met her and spent time together.
Answer Hi pw,
I do not believe what you are describing ever happened throughout the entire Seinfeld series. Perhaps you could be confusing it with another TV show....?
The scene that you describe sounds like it could have occurred at the tail end of an episode, possibly as the credits were rolling. Sometimes in syndication such segments are cut out of the show. However, I have seen all 180 episodes multiple times on the DVD versions, which show every episode in its original form. I have also seen all of the deleted scenes. I do not recall such a scene ever occurring.
If there are any other details that you might be able to provide about the scene, please let me know. It is possible that you are remembering part of the scene correctly but are confusing other details with another TV show.
