Question
I need to establish in home care for my aunt who is 91 years of age.  She will not consider assited living.  I am not able to reach ALTCS..they are unable to answer phone calls at this time.  Is this because of state budget limitations.  I do have a relative who could provide in home care...What is the process for getting both my aunt and other relative enrolled?

Answer
Trudy:

I'm not sure what you mean by getting them enrolled. If it is to get them certified as caregivers you may wnat to call The Foundation for Senior Living at 602-285-1800. Ask the foundation what to do to get your relatives certified.

As far as ALTCS Their office is open for people to get enrolled to receive services. The number I have for them is 602-417-6600.

I hope this answers your question.

Sincerely,
Alan B.
