About Sal
Expertise I am privileged to be able to offer an alternative insight into the complicated world of Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) theology. I will rely heavily on the Bible, but will also consider history and use logic in exposing deficiencies in SDA teachings. I would ask anyone who is considering becoming a SDA or if you are already in the SDA church, but are searching for the truth, to please allow me to offer a different explanation for the claims of the SDA. Remember : "The truth will set you free" (John 8:32). I can answer your questions pertaining to the beliefs and history of the SDA. I am not able to answer questions concerning spirituality or church discipline.
Experience I have extensively studied the theology of the Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) for a number of years. I have many books and tape sets produced by experts in this field of study. I have debated current members of the SDA church. I have a great desire to help these people see the truth.
Education/Credentials M.S. degree in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics

Seventh-Day Adventists - Additional response to clean and unclean Is Sal really serious?
Expert: Sal - 10/25/2009
Question Ok Sal, if you actually intend to respond to me this time I will answer your text. But no dodging, excuses or asking for clarification this time, ok?
If what you claim about Genesis 9:3 is true… “Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things." If that text makes every animal good for food then every green plant (herb) that grows on the earth is good too, right?
Then tell me Sal, would God have us eat poison ivy or use Lilly of the Valley in a salad? Is he saying that it is ok to bake Marijuana in brownies? Is He allowing us to chew on leaves of the Coca plant (cocaine)? I don’t think so. Using that same logic God can’t possibly mean that we can eat anything we want.
Your argument is flawed just like the other falsehoods you try to promote as fact on this site.
And David, please read Anthony’s response to “clean and unclean – Is Sal really serious?" On Oct 23 and scroll all the way to the bottom. Sal would have us believe that we serve a god that can’t make up his mind.
Answer Dear Brother John:
I would be glad if someone I asked a question of would ask for a clarification so that he could better answer my question.
It's not what I claim about Genesis 9:3 it's what it says. "Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you." That is, all animals no distinction between clean and unclean made by God. The distinction that you are holding to is part of the Mosaic Covenant (Lev. 11). It is part of the ceremonial laws that even your church admits was nailed to the cross. The problem, as I see it, is that you are so interested in defending your church against the clear word of God that you do not read carefully or you assume or add to the Bible quotes provided. Your statement about God giving us poisonous things to eat is a good example. God gave us all things as food, but not all things are healthful. We know that poisonous mushrooms are to be avoided not because they are "unclean" but because they are harmful to our health. We know that too much fat is to be avoided not because it is "unclean" but because it is harmful to our health. God does not forbid any animals to be eaten in Noah's day nor does he forbid any animals from being eaten in our day.
Best Wishes,
Sal
