About Sal
Expertise
I am privileged to be able to offer an alternative insight into the complicated world of Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) theology. I will rely heavily on the Bible, but will also consider history and use logic in exposing deficiencies in SDA teachings. I would ask anyone who is considering becoming a SDA or if you are already in the SDA church, but are searching for the truth, to please allow me to offer a different explanation for the claims of the SDA. Remember : "The truth will set you free" (John 8:32). I can answer your questions pertaining to the beliefs and history of the SDA. I am not able to answer questions concerning spirituality or church discipline.

Experience
I have extensively studied the theology of the Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) for a number of years. I have many books and tape sets produced by experts in this field of study. I have debated current members of the SDA church. I have a great desire to help these people see the truth.

Education/Credentials
M.S. degree in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics

Seventh-Day Adventists - Clean and unclean

Expert: Sal - 10/23/2009

Question
Hi Sal,

I just read a post from John regarding clean and unclean food.  Would they have us believe that Noah and his family were complete idiots?  When God told Noah that “every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you”, do they believe Noah would have eaten anything before it had time to reproduce?

Don’t back down on promoting truth!

God Bless!

David

Answer
Hello David:

Thank you for your encouragement. I asked Brother John for a clarification on exactly what was his question because his statement was so rambling. He, up to the present day, has not gotten back to me. My past experience with Brother John leads me to believe that he just wants to make statements to promote his SDA beliefs. He doesn't care what anyone else has to say. Notice that he never answered my texts. He particularly avoided Genesis 9:3: "Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything." God's statement here is cystal clear to all who wish to accept the Bible. However, if one wishes to hold fast to a church's doctrinal beliefs despite what the Bible clearly says then they do as Brother John does: avoid the text at all costs. We must pray for such brethren who are blind to God's word.

"But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away" (2 Corinthians 3:14-16).

Remember it's not the individual that is completely at fault, but the blame is to be shared by the organization that promotes the blindness.

Thanks again.

God Bless You,
Sal
