About Sal
Expertise
I am privileged to be able to offer an alternative insight into the complicated world of Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) theology. I will rely heavily on the Bible, but will also consider history and use logic in exposing deficiencies in SDA teachings. I would ask anyone who is considering becoming a SDA or if you are already in the SDA church, but are searching for the truth, to please allow me to offer a different explanation for the claims of the SDA. Remember : "The truth will set you free" (John 8:32). I can answer your questions pertaining to the beliefs and history of the SDA. I am not able to answer questions concerning spirituality or church discipline.

Experience
I have extensively studied the theology of the Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) for a number of years. I have many books and tape sets produced by experts in this field of study. I have debated current members of the SDA church. I have a great desire to help these people see the truth.

Education/Credentials
M.S. degree in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics

Question
QUESTION: Sal,

I recently studied my way out of Adventism after being a member for over 50 years.  I attended its schools, my child attended its schools and I worked for the denomination for 37 years.  I simply took whatI was taught as a child and through my adult years as the truth because of Bible texts and Ellen G. White.

When I discoverd that Mrs. White contradicted the Bible, added to the Bible and that the leaders of the church at least as far back as 1919 questioned her inspiration, etc. and decided to 'lock it up for 50 years from the laity' I had some serious reservations and questions.  What really got me studying too was the fact that Mrs. White said that 'tithing and the sabbath are not be re-enacted in the New Testament.'  Of course, it is a true statement but one of Adventism pillars is the Sabbath and if it is not in the New Testament (the New Covenant), I found that confusing.

Long story short, I have done and continue to do extensive studying.  I happenened upon your site and was amazed that your answers are exactly what the Holy Spirit had led me to see prior to finding you.  I love my SDA friends but the Adventist church thrives on deception.  Bible verses are taken out of context and whenever the word 'commandment' is used, to them it means the Ten Commandments.  I realize it is because that's where the Sabbath command resides and their 7th day Adventist name has to be defended no matter what.

I recently wrote an ebook (Out of The House of Bondage) to share information specifically for my Adventist friends and my prayer is that they will at least be open enough to read it.  There's a lot of pride, arrogance and self-righteousness among SOME (not all) of the saints and they really believe they have the truth.  I am so grateful and so thankful to be Out of The House of Bondage.  The truth really is freedom (not lawlessness).  I no longer walk around full of guilt wondering if the Lord has come to my name in the judgment...  The Bible says that 'the Lord knows those who are His' and He doesn't need an Investigative Judgment to discover it.

I just needed to say 'thank you' for the TRUTH that you are sharing and I pray that you will never be discouraged and continue to share 'Thus saith the Lord.'

Warm Christian regards,

Patricia

Dear Sister Patricia: I have received requests for your ebook. Allexperts does not give experts the questioner's email address. They forward our answers on to the questioner. Therefore, the only way I know to get your address is if you will send it to me. However, if you don't want it seen by everyone who visits this site you will need to click on the box that says, "keep this question private". Then only I will see it and I will forward it to those that want your ebook. Thanks again for taking the time to write such a book and to share it with others who want it. Hopefully, it will have an positive impact on those in SDA bondage and those who are considering going under SDA bondage.

God Bless You,
Sal
