About Sal
Expertise I am privileged to be able to offer an alternative insight into the complicated world of Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) theology. I will rely heavily on the Bible, but will also consider history and use logic in exposing deficiencies in SDA teachings. I would ask anyone who is considering becoming a SDA or if you are already in the SDA church, but are searching for the truth, to please allow me to offer a different explanation for the claims of the SDA. Remember : "The truth will set you free" (John 8:32). I can answer your questions pertaining to the beliefs and history of the SDA. I am not able to answer questions concerning spirituality or church discipline.
Experience I have extensively studied the theology of the Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) for a number of years. I have many books and tape sets produced by experts in this field of study. I have debated current members of the SDA church. I have a great desire to help these people see the truth.
Education/Credentials M.S. degree in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics

Question QUESTION: I'm having trouble understanding how we don't need the law anymore? if there is no law, how can there be sin? and we certainly know that sin still exists today (Romans 4:15). isn't sin defined in 1 John 3:4 as the transgression of the law? what law are they talking about if the 10 commandments are done away with?
thank you,
-John
ANSWER: Dear Brother John:
Whose commandments are we Christians to keep? The commandments of Jesus not the Old Covenant Ten Commandments. The central commandment of Jesus is "I give you a new commandment: Love one another. Such as my love has been for you, so must your love be for each other" (John 13:34; see also 15:17).
Have a nice evening,
Sal

QUESTION: thank you for clarifying brother Sal, how do we when we are or aren't loving God or one another?
ANSWER: Dear Brother John:
I'm not sure what you mean. I always know whether I'm loving someone of not. It's a natural emotion. I don't have to think about it.
Sincerely,
Brother Sal

QUESTION: well, i guess what i mean is, if i feel love towards someone but i don't support it with action, it's not really love...so what kind of actions demonstrate to God and others that I truly love them?
Answer Dear Brother John:
One can show love by unselfishly doing things for the one loved. In God's case doing what He requires because you love Him not because you are afraid of punishment.
13Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. 14You are my friends if you do what I command. 15I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.---John 15:13-15.
God Bless,
Sal
