About Sal
Expertise
I am privileged to be able to offer an alternative insight into the complicated world of Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) theology. I will rely heavily on the Bible, but will also consider history and use logic in exposing deficiencies in SDA teachings. I would ask anyone who is considering becoming a SDA or if you are already in the SDA church, but are searching for the truth, to please allow me to offer a different explanation for the claims of the SDA. Remember : "The truth will set you free" (John 8:32). I can answer your questions pertaining to the beliefs and history of the SDA. I am not able to answer questions concerning spirituality or church discipline.

Experience
I have extensively studied the theology of the Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) for a number of years. I have many books and tape sets produced by experts in this field of study. I have debated current members of the SDA church. I have a great desire to help these people see the truth.

Education/Credentials
M.S. degree in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics

Question
Sal,

I admire your level of commitment, but at the end of the day exactly what have you accomplished?  Aren’t you simply shuffling fellow Christians from one church to another?

Jesus clearly addresses this in Matthew 7.  He is telling us not to quibble with one another or point out insignificant errors in our beliefs.  Sal, as far as I am concerned pointing out the errors of other churches, specifically the SDA church, is simply treading water…  It doesn’t accomplish anything.  And as you stated in your reply to Leonard on 11/1 as long as SDA’s confess that Jesus is Lord, and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead, they will be saved…  anything else is inconsequential.

As ambassadors of Christ our job is to swim the distance…  to change people’s hearts by pointing them to Christ.  If you believe that the Lord has led you here (and that is something that only you can know for sure) then I propose that He has only lead you to the starting gate…  taking on the rest of the challenge is up to you.

Obviously any work we do for the ultimate glory of the Lord is a good thing, however I feel that the absolute best work we can do during the short time we have on this sinful planet is to lead others to Christ.  After all isn’t that what the Great Commission is all about?

So if you have to make time for this ministry and can only help a limited number of people, wouldn’t it be better to use your talents to help lead lost brothers and sisters to Christ instead of arguing semantics with fellow believers?

Maranatha!!

Answer
Dear Brother John:

I don't question what God has given me to do. I would disagree with you that I don't accomplish anything. Many tell me that I have helped them to experience a deeper freedom in Christ than they ever knew before as SDAs. I have been told that for the first time they have security in Christ and that I had something to do with that. So I thank God that I can help fellow Christians to experience a greater relationship with Him.

Praise the Lord for He is Good!
Sal
