Question are the 144000 really going to exist? or they are in the past.

I believe that 144,000 is a symbolic number. 12 x 12 x 1,000 would be the number and 12 is symbolic for completeness. Therefore, it probably stands for the complete number of all the saved. In John's day 144,000 would probably have referred to the complete number of Jewish Christians saved from Jerusalem before it was destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D. Tradition says that all Jewish Christians were saved from the destruction of Jerusalem. So the number existed in the past and will exist in the future because it represents all the saved no matter what the actual number will be.
