AboutSal Expertise I am privileged to be able to offer an alternative insight into the complicated world of Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) theology. I will rely heavily on the Bible, but will also consider history and use logic in exposing deficiencies in SDA teachings. I would ask anyone who is considering becoming a SDA or if you are already in the SDA church, but are searching for the truth, to please allow me to offer a different explanation for the claims of the SDA. Remember : "The truth will set you free" (John 8:32). I can answer your questions pertaining to the beliefs and history of the SDA. I am not able to answer questions concerning spirituality or church discipline.
Experience I have extensively studied the theology of the Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) for a number of years. I have many books and tape sets produced by experts in this field of study. I have debated current members of the SDA church. I have a great desire to help these people see the truth.

This is a follow-up to the first post I made.
I mentioned that Matthew 24:20 showed that the Sabbath existed even after Christ's death and never went into extinction, as you were suggesting.
Your response was "I believe that in Matthew 24:20 Jesus is referring to the then coming destruction of Jerusalem which did occur in 70 AD. If Jesus was referring to the end times he misled many people. Jesus kept indicating to those to whom he was speaking that they would witness the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple. He mentioned “you” eight times in verses 3-35. If you will think about it, even the verse that you referenced is speaking of the disciples. “Pray that ‘your’ flight not be in winter or on the Sabbath” (v. 20). Whose flight?"
You totally did not understand why I mentioned Matthew 24:20. My point is if Jesus' death rendered the ten commandments, especially the Sabbath to be no longer in existence, why would Christ be referring to it even 70 years after his death? Think. According to you, all ten were done away with at the Cross. If the Sabbath including the other nine commandments were obsolete after Christ's death, why would the same person who came to get rid of it referring to it in an event after his death. He got rid of it so why was he referring to it if it was no longer in existence?
Hope you understand me this time. Please, open up your heart and mind. There is no secret about it the Sabbath as well as the other nine commandments still exist.
May God open up your eyes as he continues to have mercy upon our souls.
Answer Dear Vonne:
I guess we misunderstood each other. Thank you for your clarification. Allow me to clarify my position. When I point out that the Sabbath is obsolete I don’t mean that it doesn’t exist. Obviously, Jews, SDAs, and others still keep the Sabbath; therefore, it does exist. However, the Sabbath is obsolete as the sign between God and His people. In other words, Sabbath keeping is no longer a necessary practice for God’s people.
Again you ask why Jesus would be referring to the Sabbath after his death. The answer is because he knew that in 70 AD in the capital of Judaism the Sabbath would still be kept. He further knew that Jewish Christians attempting to flee would be hindered by the Jewish religious leaders of the day.
