Question
new to sewing... new machine... simplicity liberty.

Bottom stitches are all loose.  the bottom thread is not being pulled up, through the material.

How to fix?

Answer
HI JoAnna,
It sounds like the upper machine is not threaded correctly.

try re-threading the machine.

also the bobbin may be in upside down.

also check the tension, it may need adjusting.

If none of these suggestions are of help. then I suggest you take the machine to the shop where you purchased the machine and have them check it out for you.
