Sewing/Altering Pants

Question
Hello, I have recently lost about 70 lbs and all of my clothes are too big.  I would love some information about making alterations on pants.  Should I just take up the sides or the inseam also?  Please help

Answer
Bonita,

I would take up the side seams and take off the waist band and alter the darts(if any) and the front and back seams.  It might be easier to take the pants apart and re-cut them to fit your new size.  70 pounds that is great!  How did you do it?
